We chatted with Hugh’s Wolverine costar Lynn Collins at the L.A. premiere this week, and wanted to get the dirt on all things humpy and Jackman, natch.
Lynn (who’s a total hottie btw—lookout Megan Fox) said when she got the gig, she had 72 hours to mentally prepare before getting busy with H.J. on screen.
“Before I knew it, I was in New Zealand on a cliff kissing Hugh Jackman. And he’s amazing,” dished the babe with a very knowing smile. Deets, babe, deets! Need to find out if those Hughie puckers match up to his deltoids!
So is it safe to say by amazing, you mean he’s a fantastic kisser?
Absolutely. (more…)
Hollywood star Hugh Jackman has taken a swipe at Australia’s strict laws on adopting children from overseas.
Jackman says he understood the problems Madonna faced in her failed attempt to adopt a second child from Malawi after he and his wife went through similar angst in Australia.
Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness had wanted to adopt a child from Africa or Asia but found Australia’s laws on overseas adoptions made it impossible. (more…)
Hugh Jackman hugs his driver goodbye as he prepares to board a plane at LAX. Hugh is on his way to London to promote his film, “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”.
It’s not easy being Wolverine, the X-Men’s toughest mutant superhero — just ask Hugh Jackman.
The Aussie actor, who’s played the role in four “X-Men” movies, including his upcoming spin-off, “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” said getting into superhero shape is serious business.
“I was probably training for a year before we started,” Hugh told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson. “That was the key.” (more…)
The sexiest man alive, Hugh Jackman is also the busiest man alive. After appearing in Baz Luhrman’s big budget film ‘Australia’, Hugh started off the year hosting the Oscar Awards. Two months later, Hugh and is at it again starring in the highly anticipated, sci-fi action flick ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ which hits theatres on Friday. However, while on his world wide press tour, the film’s premiere in Mexico had to be postponed due to the recent outbreak of Swine Flu. Check out Hugh’s recent message to fans in Mexico:
Origin stories are one way to jump-start stalled movie franchises as Christopher Nolan has brilliantly done with two “Batman” movies and J.J. Abrams has apparently managed with the upcoming “Star Trek.”
The scheme fizzles badly, though, in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” in which Fox has selected the popular Wolverine character — and that of energetic entertainer Hugh Jackman, his interpreter — as the headliner to revive its mutant-race series that showed signs of wear and tear with 2006’s “X-Men: The Last Stand.” A new director, Gavin Hood, and new writers, David Benioff and Skip Woods, put in overtime to develop plot twists and double crosses but ultimately fall back on a surfeit of action and visual effects to mask a lack of imagination.
Worldwide anticipation guarantees a massive opening that befits its event status. But unless word-of-mouth is strongly favorable, global sales might fall short of the nearly $460 million grossed by the last film in the series. Ancillary business looks strong. (more…)
“The Insider” was in Hollywood on Tuesday night with Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Ryan Reynolds, and will.I.am at the premiere of the highly anticipated ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine.’ The stars tell “The Insider” about working on the film and Hugh opens up about his karaoke jam session with ‘Twilight’ hunk Robert Pattinson!
“That guy has got a voice on him, there’s an album coming,” Hugh says about the multi-talented young heartthrob. “If he wants to do it, there’s an album coming.”
‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ is the first chapter in the ‘X-Men’ saga, and unites Wolverine with several other legends of the mutant universe.
Ryan Reynolds tells “The Insider” that his role as Deadpool is one he has wanted to play for a long time.
“It means a lot to me to be able to do different types of genres and to not be stuck in one area,” Ryan says. “I’ve wanted to play the Deadpool character for 9 years, so getting to do it in this setting is unbelievable — when all the pressure is on Hugh.” (more…)
I (finally) uploaded scans from the April 24th issue of Entertainment Weekly thanks to Jess and I also uploaded a small feature of Hugh from May’s issue of Maxim thanks to Maria.
