The New York Post’s Michael Riedel is reporting that film stars Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig will team up in a new play this fall on Broadway.

The drama that will bring them together, reveals Riedel, is “A Steady Rain” by Keith Huff, is about two Chicago cops whose lifelong friendship is put to the test when they become involved in a domestic dispute in a poor neighborhood.

The Post reports that Barbara Broccoli, who oversees the James Bond movie franchise, is producing “A Steady Rain.” She arrives in New York from Europe this weekend to scout out Broadway theaters, sources told Riedel. The daughter of legendary James Bond producer Albert “Cubby” Broccoli, Barbara Broccoli produced “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” on Broadway in 2005. (more…)

‘X- Men Origins’ actress Lynn Collins will be wary of working with co-star Hugh Jackman again as the actor played a prank on her which made her go red with embarrassment. Jackman played an April Fool’s day trick on her by persuading her to wear a weird skintight outfit on the set of the movie, reported Contactmusic.

Describing the situation Collins said, “We were on this location and Hugh came up to me and said, ‘You know, we’ve seen some of the dailies and we just think that your outfit needs to be skimpier.’ He was like, ‘So, we found something for you. We put it in your trailer. Can you please try it on?.

“There was a gaggle of men and so I go into my trailer and there is a silver spandex dress, and I had this panic attack. I was like, ‘Oh, my God, they’re all standing in front of the trailer, so I have to put it on.’ I put it on and it didn’t fit. It was so tight, it was horrible and highly embarrassing. I opened the door and everybody was cracking up, and Hugh was like,’April Fool’s,’” the actress added.

Hugh Jackman treats his kids Oscar, 9, and daughter Ava, 3, to some cold treats while mom Deborra Lee Furness watched on Thursday afternoon (May 21) at the West Side Park in New York City.

The 40-year-old Aussie actor hasn’t been updating his Twitter recently with good reason. Last week, Hugh tweeted, “Hey-Sorry, I have been quiet. spending much needed time with the deb and the kids.”

Jensen Ackles from TV show Supernatural has made fifth place in AfterElton’s Hot 100 of 2009, a countdown of the most desirable male celebrities of television and movies.

Ackles, 31, is followed by Fantastic Four and Push actor Chris Evans at No6, Wolverine star Hugh Jackman at No8 and Spider-Man’s James Franco at No10.
